Baked Ziti Chili

A warm and hearty baked pasta dish with chili flavors that's great for a family dinner.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ziti pasta

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 can 28 oz crushed tomatoes

  • 1 can 15 oz kidney beans, drained and rinsed

  • 1 can 15 oz black beans, drained and rinsed

  • 2 cups beef broth

  • 2 tsp chili powder

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 1/2 tsp paprika

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375F 190C


Cook ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente


Drain and set aside


In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium-high heat


Add chopped onion, bell pepper, and garlic


Cook until vegetables are softened


Stir in crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper


Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes


Add cooked ziti pasta to the skillet and mix until well combined


Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top


Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 1/2 cups milk

  • 2 tablespoons sugar

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce
